Chinese Community Law Enforcement Award
Purpose
This award is intended to recognize, annually, members of Police
Services in the GTA area, who have proven to be a role model through
exemplary service in law enforcement, have made outstanding contributions
to the Chinese community, and who have demonstrated by actions and deeds
the pursuit of a safe community in which he/she has sworn to protect and
serve.
Criteria
- Exemplary deeds in Conduct and Performance of Duty.
- Positive contribution to law enforcement, crime prevention and/or community service in the Toronto and GTA
areas.
Qualifications
Nominees must be either Police Officers or Civilian Members of police services serving Toronto or the GTA
areas.
Process of Nomination
Nominations to be submitted to the Selection Committee by a given date each year. Nominations must contain the name, rank, badge number and police service of the nominees, along with a description of the reasons of his/her nomination. The recommending person must identify who they are, how they can be contacted, their relationship with the nominees, be it personal or professional, and how they came to know the nominee and the cited deeds. Submissions should be typed on the
Award Nomination Form and should not exceed 400 words. The Selection Committee may conduct its own inquiries to verify the information submitted and all nominations are subject to consultation with the nominees’ police
services.

A Selection Committee to be appointed by the Awards Committee of the CCAA. AWARD.
Presentation
Award presentation is held annually on an occasion to be determined.
